NZ and Aust sign marine research agreement

A historic agreement, aimed at improving country-to-country collaboration on marine research, observations and data management between New Zealand and Australia, has been signed in Canberra this morning.

sounds a bit like the IOOS network in the USA

there is always interest in inter-team standardization and
real time (incl. ship borne) data integration.. which means
standard data formats, metadata, methodologies, and software
protocols.
