ossim-plot-histo

Kramer, Oscar
All,

I recently pushed two new command-line apps to the ossim github repository (dev branch) that you may be interested in: ossim-cli and ossim-plot-histo.

ossim-cli (cli = command line interface) is intended to become the single entry point to ossim functionality for the application user. It makes use of the new ossimUtility class infrastructure that lets developers register new app-level functionality so that they will appear on ossim-cli's capabilities list. So now even plugins now can register "apps" in addition to readers, writers and sensor models. The ossim-cli app can be run in interactive mode or you can specify a known command along with the commands options and arguments. For example, for doing a simple orthorectification, you can do:

ossim-cli ortho --projection epsg:4326 unprojected.tif ortho.tif

Run ossim-cli with no arguments to get a list of capabilities (may depend on which plugins you're specifying. Currently only the potrace plugin adds a utility.

The second app, ossim-plot-histo, is a simple little app to plot image histograms using gnuplot. You need gnuplot installed on your system before you can use this. The command line will accept either an image filename (a histogram will be generated in that case), or an existing OSSIM histogram (.his) file.
