Thanks for the interest shown about this work around the hatitdata.org initiative. To answer questions raised by applicants: work is likely to start in January until February 2012, compensations will be based on experience. I'd be grateful if those who applied can mention their availability over this time period and the volume of work they can put in the project on a weekly basis. Once we will be provided with the data that need to be uploaded on the platform haitidata.org, we will get back to you on number of positions and profiles required. For those interested but who did not apply yet, just a reminder: the deadline for applications is tomorrow 23-Dec (Central European time).
Excellent day to all

The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) has been working as a contractor of the World Bank (WB) on the HaitiData.org Initiative. This initiative is about creating capabilities to foster the use, the sharing and the processing and visualization of geodata in Haiti. It relies on a website, www.haitidata.org (a Geonode instance) built and launched in June 2011 to provide a tool for sharing and visualizing this data and provide insights into natural hazard risk. One portion of the work of HOT in this project is to upload in haitidata.org Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)-related data that has been produced in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake and collected through various missions of another project funded by the WorldBank (“NatHat” project). We need help accomplishing this. Below are the required qualifications for this work which will start in the course of next week and go through February 2012. Note that this will be part time job and short term. Great if anyone interested in this project can email [hidden email] and pass along a resume. 23-Dec will be the last day to submit application.
