Re: mapguide+google earth in IE

RenoSun
Hi Evan,

It looks really good of your mobile viewer and using mapguide + google earth
in IE. Looks like you customized your Kaliopa Mapguide Mobile Viewer as
well, and it looks nice.

Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server (AIMS) is a dead product now. I won't
recommend you to use it.
https://www.autodesk.com/products/infrastructure-map-server/overview

I will recommend you to use mapgudie 3.1.2 instead of using AIMS. However,
it can be difficult if you are loading data from ArcSDE (ESRI). Also, have
look on both  mapguide-rest <https://github.com/jumpinjackie/mapguide-rest>
and  mapguide-react-layout
<https://github.com/jumpinjackie/mapguide-react-layout>  . They may help you
to make your application more powerful in many ways.

Cheers,
Reno

Re: mapguide+google earth in IE

Evan
Thank you Reno.

I already download the AIMS2107 from:

http://trial2.autodesk.com/NET17SWDLD/2017/IMS/DLM/Autodesk_Infrastructure_Map_Server_2017_English_Win_64bit_dlm.sfx.exe

I want to use Studio 2017 and mapguide maestro with mgos3.1.2 in windows
server 2016.

btw, I want to know if I use the mapguide-react-layout, how to develop the
function? use java or php?

Re: mapguide+google earth in IE

GordonL
You can use Studio with MGOS 3.1.2 but I would not use it for Layouts.
Stick with Maps, Layers and (some) Datastores.

Do not use Studio for the Applications Definitions/Fusion Layouts.  MGOS has
evolved since AIMS 2017 and is not completely compatible with the layouts.

For the Layouts, stick with Maestro.
For anything to do with mapguide-rest, use Maestro.

For example, I uncompressed the following ZIP file
https://github.com/jumpinjackie/mapguide-rest/releases/download/1.0-rc4/mapguide-rest-1.0-rc4.zip
directly into the folder C:\Program Files\OSGeo\MapGuide\Web\www\rest

Then I can connect in Maestro to the url:  http://locations/mapguide/rest/
