Hi Folks,
On GIS.se Ragi said a new gdal-filegdb package has been uploaded which allows qgis to open file-gdb's in place (http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/22201/). It's not working for me though. I wonder if it's the right version? http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/versions.html says `gdal-filegdb, 1.8.0-1` and the ogr dll goes to `gdalplugins\1.8\ogr_FileGDB.dll` cheers, -- matt wilkie -------------------------------------------- Geomatics Analyst Information Management and Technology Yukon Department of Environment 10 Burns Road * Whitehorse, Yukon * Y1A 4Y9 867-667-8133 Tel * 867-393-7003 Fax http://environmentyukon.gov.yk.ca/geomatics/ -------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ osgeo4w-dev mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/osgeo4w-dev |

I might as well note these two tickets while we're talking about filegdb:

Matt,
Unfortunately the old plugin will not work with 1.9. It will need to be rebuilt. I see a variety of appropriate fixes have already been ported into the 1.9 branch so you shouldn't need to do any backporting. http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/log/branches/1.9/gdal/ogr/ogrsf_frmts/filegdb Best regards, -- ---------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- I set the clouds in motion - turn up | Frank Warmerdam, [hidden email] light and sound - activate the windows | http://pobox.com/~warmerdam and watch the world go round - Rush | Geospatial Software Developer _______________________________________________ osgeo4w-dev mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/osgeo4w-dev |

Backport of the FGDB_BULK_LOAD option would be nice :) It's almost unuseable for writing large datasets.
