Kenlo Nasahara
Dear GDAL people,

Let me raise a silly question, please.

What is "CPL" which appears around the
GDAL world, such as "CPLError"?

I tried to figure out but I still cannot.

Re: What is CPL?

Thak you, Mateusz and Kyle.

By using your key word, I found it in the source code:

http://gdal.org/cpl__port_8h-source.html
00004  * Project:  CPL - Common Portability Library
00005  * Author:   Frank Warmerdam, [hidden email]

It seems CPL is a part of GDAL libraries for me.  Is it correct?
Or is CPL a general library used commonly in many projects
outside GDAL as well?

Re: What is CPL?

Kurt Schwehr-2
CPL is used in libgeotiff and a few other places, but those are closely tied to GDAL.
