[gdal-dev] GDAL Docker images

Even Rouault-2
Hi,

I've prepared a set of Dockerfile for different configurations.
See
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/blob/master/gdal/docker/README.md

The scope of each is rather arbitrary, but this can be used as a base for
derived works.

Re: GDAL Docker images

This is great, thanks Even.

Because I’m mostly working with AWS Lambda, I might open a PR to add a CENTOS based image (ref: https://github.com/RemotePixel/amazonlinux-gdal) if this is ok ;-)

great... I will update my gdal with ecw container to shirk as much as possible

with related Dockerfile and compose

I did a new container because (AFAIK) there weren't one available, updated and documented.
Mine is based on debian:stable-slim

Sure, improvements / additions are welcome. (although there will be a point
where too many configurations will be hard to maintain)
