community modules

Jean Pommier - PI geosolutions

Hi,

Some time ago, you could find community modules for donwload at http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/master/community-latest

This link does not seem to work anymore.

Is there another resource where we could get the community modules, or do we have to build them as needed, by ourselves ?

Best,

Jean

Re: community modules

Brad Hards

There is a link off geoserver.org for various builds.

A couple of clicks later you’ll get to https://build.geoserver.org/geoserver/master/community-latest

ares is no more.

However the build server is a little loaded at the moment, so you might want to give it a day or two.

Brad

It's actually fully offline for maintenance, there is no clear ETA for when it's going to be back at the moment.

Cheers

Oh, I'm sorry, I missed this link. I never noticed you have slightly different content if you select the Nightly builds link instead of the regular tagged link

Thanks !

Where is that link actually? I can't find it from the download page. Some of the community module documentation still link to the download page, but it doesn't seem possible to find the community modules from there, unless I am missing something.

Regards

Niels

Community modules are accessible only via nightly builds, so for example go here:

and scroll to the very bottom of the mage, there's a link to the community modules listing on the build server (now not working, the build server is still offline)

Cheers

Re: community modules

jody.garnett
Note even when that server comes back I doubt historic community modules will be available. You should consider building from source for the best experience (ie to be sure of compatibility with the release of GeoSever you are using).

The community module links are intended to share ideas and RnD for feedback. If you have any community modules you use and enjoy consider talking with the developers about the steps needed to fold the functionality into GeoServer.
