Review responses to quesstionnaire from Steve Feldman

Andreas Neumann-3
Hi,

Steve Feldman, as part of his investigations on FOSSGIS software project/product management (results to be presented at FOSS4G in Bukarest), sent me some additional questions:

I drafted responses, but need your review, comments, help to fill in the gaps:

Hope I managed to summarize our situation correctly, if not, feel free to change/edit/correct.

Thanks for your help,
Andreas

Thanks Andreas for working on this.
Just a minor issue: I don't think database providers are implemented as
plugins, although your argument that they can be easily removed remains
valid.
Cheers.

hi Andreas thanks a lot!

just one small point:
"The non LT versions are meant to be used by more adventurous users who do not mind occasional problems and feel ok living on the cutting edge of new software."

seems that non LT are beta kind of things, to mee non lt is more about early availability of features and fixes

cheers
Marco

Hi Marco,

Thanks for your review. I changed the wording to:

"The non-LT versions deliver new features at an earlier stage and are meant for early adopters who accept that they use a less-tested and potentially less stable version than the LT releases.".
