Re: iTowns-dev Digest, Vol 13, Issue 2

Mirela Konini
Hi all,

Of course I do agree to release soon.
I think at least check elevation values (#332), miniglobe (#239) and obviously documentation (#322) must be included.

Regards,
Mirela

Hello,

No objection to this proposal, should we therefore plan for the release
on the 5th of July ?

If still no disagreement, I will set this date for the GitHub milestone,
and we will start working on the required tasks for release.

Re: iTowns-dev Digest, Vol 13, Issue 2

Alexandre Devaux
Hi all!
I've some strange delays receiving mails from itowns-dev list I will check why.

I totally agree with the release on the 5th of july. The master is stable, the last very important thing we need to do is Documentation.

- Document code (in code and a high level UML style for global architecture)
- Document for developers and coders! ( I started a tutorial with different examples for both, months ago, Victor Coindet is currently working on it now)

Then the launch should come with communication, I'll try to prepare a nice video demo for it. If you have some nice video capture of experimentation with itowns2 don't hesitate to send it to me so I can integrate them.

Bests,

Alexandre Devaux

Re: iTowns-dev Digest, Vol 13, Issue 2

Pierre-Eric Pelloux-Prayer
Good to see that everyone agrees on releasing a first version on July 5.

Instead of listing what needs to be part of this release, I believe each person should work on items that are important to his (her) priorities/company/users/whatever.

Everything that gets merged before the 5 will be part of itowns 2.0.0.

If something important is missing don't worry, itowns 2.0.1 will be release a few weeks later, and then 2.0.2, etc etc.

Regards,
Pierre-Eric
