[QGIS-Developer] QGIS batch files in OSGeo4W are still calling GRASS 7.4.2

Pedro Venâncio-2
Hi,

QGIS batch files in OSGeo4W are still calling GRASS 7.4.2, instead of 7.4.4:

call "%OSGEO4W_ROOT%"\apps\grass\grass-7.4.2\etc\env.bat

path %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\qgis-ltr-dev\bin;%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-7.4.2\lib;%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-7.4.2\bin;%PATH%

This happens with all versions:
qgis-ltr-dev-g7.4.2.bat
qgis-rel-dev-g7.bat
etc.

Who should fix this?

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Pedro Venâncio

Re: QGIS batch files in OSGeo4W are still calling GRASS 7.4.2

Pedro Venâncio-2
Hi Jurgen,

Can you please take a look at GRASS 7 (Geographic Resources Analysis Support System) plugin?

It does not show to me, both in QGIS 2.18.27 or QGIS 3.4.3 (OSGeo4W64bits).

I checked the OSGeo4W64 installer, and qgis-grass-plugin7 and qgis-grass-plugin-common (3.4.3-2 and 2.18.27-1) were not installed.

After installing them, QGIS still does not show GRASS plugin. But I see that the batch files created are still calling grass 7.4.2 (call "%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-7.4.2\etc\env.bat").

Can this issues be related to the same question?

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Pedro

Re: QGIS batch files in OSGeo4W are still calling GRASS 7.4.2

Pedro Venâncio-2
Ok Jurgen,

I think it is just a matter of unmet dependencies in OSGeo4W:

qgis    (3.4.3-2)
    QGIS Desktop
    Required by: qgis-grass-plugin7

qgis-common    (3.4.3-2)
    QGIS (common)
    Required by: qgis

qgis-ltr    (2.18.27-1)
    QGIS Desktop (long term release)
    Required by: qgis-ltr-grass-plugin7

qgis-ltr-common    (2.18.27-1)
    QGIS (common; long term release)
    Required by: qgis-ltr

qgis-grass-plugin7 and qgis-grass-plugin-common requires specific nightly builds.

Is this an easy to do fix?

Thanks again!

Best regards,
Pedro

So that means you just verified that the batch files were updated, but not that
it actually changed anything?  Or did you just check grass in processing?

I at least didn't even look after I saw the above.  Sorry. ;)

Hi Jurgen,

That's correct! I found the problem using GRASS in Processing, and just checked if it was fixed in Processing (and in the batch files)!

I just realized today that GRASS 7 plugin was not there.

Hope it can be solved easily!

Best regards,
Pedro

Hi Jurgen,

GRASS Plugin is back again to nightly builds! Checked in QGIS 3.4.3-12 and 2.18.27-4.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Pedro
