Problems with SRS?

Andreas Pakulat
Hi,

I have small problem with GeoServer and the SRS... I have some spatial
data that is using EPSG:2398 in a postgis DB. Now if I tell GeoServer to
build a FeatureType from this table and tell him to use EPSG:2398 he
calculates from the db the max/min Lat/Lon as 0.0,0.0
4500000.0,4500000.0 which is totally off. It should be something like
12.0,54.0444 12.2992,54.2514 I think. I tried to add the 2398 SRS to the
spatial_ref_sys table and I connected the geometry column via
geometry_columns table to it but no success.

You have to compare both definitions for code EPSG:2398 in the spatial_ref_sys table and http://localhost:8080/geoserver/srsHelp.do and see if they have the same parameters. The code numbers may differ between the two.
