Output PDF

Javier de la Torre
Hi list,

I remembered to have read about PDF support as outputformat in Geoserver.

I tried using application/pdf and it says is not supported. Searching
on the wiki does not return anything interesting and in the mailing
list i can see a company that created this support, but I dont know if
it already available somewhere.

I am using the latest Geoserver.

Any idea?

Javier.

It is in version 1.3.2
just use outputformat=application/pdf

Here's docs on the output formats:

Re: Output PDF

Javier de la Torre
Uhmm...

I am using it in a WMS request and instead of outputformat I use
format, but I have tried with both. I still get a message saying that
this is not supported. Look:

Sorry, I meant "format=..."
I've tested it on several 1.3.2 installations here and remotely and the
pdf format is supported, so I'm not sure what's going wrong on your end.

Uhmmm wired...

Does it have anything to do that I am storing my configuration and
data in an external folder and that this was the same I had for 1.3.1?

I mean, do you store anything in the data folder related to that?

I checked on the logs and nothing new:

Re: Output PDF

Chris Holmes-2
Very odd.  It's not reported in the capabilities document.  But it says
1.3.2.  It shouldn't matter with the external configuration.  But it
sounds like it's picking up an old jar instead of the new one.  Could
you check to see if there's a jar called: itext-1.3.6.jar in your
geoserver/WEB-INF/lib directory?
