OssimTiffTileSource SAMPLEFORMAT_COMPLEXINT

B B
I was trying to open some of the new Sentinel-1 single look complex data ( from https://scihub.esa.int/ ) with OSSIM and ran into a problem.

Since I don't believe there's a way to open the file using the xml, I attempted to open it using the tiff file. The ossimTiffTileSource is notifying that it "Cannot determine scalar type". When I look into it, it's because theBitsPerSample = 32 and theSampleFormatUnit = SAMPLEFORMAT_COMPLEXINT = 5 and this case isn't covered in the reader.

Do you have a suggestion for how to read it?

I'm guessing that there isn't a ...

else if ( (theBitsPerSample == 32) &&
             (theSampleFormatUnit == SAMPLEFORMAT_COMPLEXINT) )
   {
      theBytesPerPixel = 4;
      theScalarType = OSSIM_CINT32;
   }

...
because it will break somewhere else?

Thanks,

Hi Bryan,

Can I get a sample file?  I'll check it out.

Take care,
Dave

Hi Bryan,

Did a commit in svn just now that should fix this.  Let me know if there's any issues.

Take care,
Dave

Re: OssimTiffTileSource SAMPLEFORMAT_COMPLEXINT

David Burken
Hi Jon,

Not that I know of.  We'd need to map their support data to a camera model.  If you get any sample data we could take a peek at it.

Take care,
Dave
