Oracle GeoRaster Store creation

Gerhard Brits

Good Day

I have been experiencing challenge getting GeoServer to create a ImageMosiacJDBC connection to Oracle. I can create a vector based connection to Oracle, but not a raster one.

I followed the online tutorial, but with no luck.

My configuration xml looks like:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>

<config version="1.0">

  <coverageName name="1"/>

  <coordsys name="EPSG:3857"/>

  <!-- interpolation 1 = nearest neighbour, 2 = bipolar, 3 = bicubic -->

  <scaleop  interpolation="1"/>

  <axisOrder ignore="false"/>

  <spatialExtension name="oracle"/>

      <mapping>

          <masterTable name="RASTER" >

          <geoRasterAttribute name="IMAGE"/>

          <coverageNameAttribute name="ID"/>

      </masterTable>

  </mapping>

  <connect>

      <!-- value DBCP or JNDI -->

      <dstype value="DBCP"/>

   <!-- <jndiReferenceName value=""/> -->

      <username value="xxxxxx" />

      <password value="xxxxxx" />

      <jdbcUrl value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl121" />

      <driverClassName value="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver"/>

      <maxActive value="5"/>

      <maxIdle value="0"/>

  </connect>

</config>

And the error I get in the logs:

2019-07-31 12:58:02,189 INFO [geoserver.web] - Getting list of coverages for saved store file:coverages/connect.oracle.xml.inc

Some advice on to setup the connect please.

Re: Oracle GeoRaster Store creation

Hi Gerhard,
noticed you did not get any answer... I cannot provide one either, the developer that made the module
is probably the only one that can, but not sure he's still around (has not posted in ages).

We probably have to consider demoting the module to unsupported, and remove it from releases...
unless someone else wants to step up and look into it? I'll wait a bit more, and if nothing moves, eventually
propose demotion on the developer list.

Cheers
Andrea
