Do you have SQL set up to accept IP traffic I think it's called Named Pipes?

Hi Flipper
Yes, sure

I think could be something wrong in my FDO configuration...
Do I need to register one by one?

I don't have access to a PC right now, but I believe it's in SQL adminstration, and you have to enable it as a service.

Re: MapGuide 3.0 ODBC connection SQL Server

In reply to this post by sm.gistec
Driver={SQL Server} is a legacy ODBC driver that's only useful for connecting
to really ancient versions of SQL Server.

You should use the SQL Server Native client

Driver={SQL Server Native Client 11.0};...

Re: MapGuide 3.0 ODBC connection SQL Server

mredwings
I usually install SQL server management studio. That will load the drivers on your machine  Also on the server you need to go to SQL configuration management. You will need to enable any settings that are false. The two are tcpip and it's either named pipes or query browser. But click thru each one and make sure all three say true. That should do the trick.

If you need to down SQL management studio. Try to grab the closest version to the server. In the download page about 3/4 way down it say for older versions click here.
