Linux Build Scripts

jono
I have a couple of simple scripts for building ossim on an AWS Ubuntu instance. Others may find these of use. Compiles into /home/ubuntu/build.

Jon

# just ossim
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
sudo apt-get install -y unzip libopenthreads-dev libtiff5-dev libjpeg-dev libgeos-dev cmake build-essential libgeos++-dev libgeotiff-dev libfreetype6-dev git
unzip master.zip
mv ossim-master/ ossim/
cd ossim/scripts
sudo bash build.sh

# ossim with gdal plugin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
sudo apt-get install -y libgdal-dev unzip libopenthreads-dev libtiff5-dev libjpeg-dev libgeos-dev cmake build-essential libgeos++-dev libgeotiff-dev libfreetype6-dev git
unzip master.zip
mv ossim-master/ ossim/
rm master.zip
unzip master.zip
mv ossim-plugins-master/ ossim-plugins/
sed  --in-place=.bak "s/BUILD_GDAL_PLUGIN=OFF/BUILD_GDAL_PLUGIN=ON/g" ossim/cmake/scripts/ossim-cmake-config.sh
cd ossim/scripts
sudo bash build.sh

Hello:

Not sure which linux but you need to install “curl" and some may call it "curl-devel”.   Ypu will also need to install JPEG devel and the latest LIBTIFF devel and OpenThreads which usually is solaved by installing OpenSceneGraph.  It should also be available as a package.

Eventually we will be moving to the threading that is part of C++-11 but for now install OpenThreads if you can

Take care

Try adding curl in the apt-get install section of the script.
