Installation of qgiss 1.0.0 final for Windows

Agustin Lobo-2
I've improved the directions including grass, ecw and sid support,
thanks to comments sent by Micha Silver and Jürgen Fischer,
and temporarily put them here:
http://sites.google.com/site/eospansite/qsig-for-windows

Handle with care and let me know errors, improvements...

Re: Installation of qgiss 1.0.0 final for Windows

Agustin,

thank you for the installer!

I think I followed your instructions from
http://sites.google.com/site/eospansite/qsig-for-windows but still
cannot use GRASS modules.
What I get is, for example of r.in.gdal is:

"Cannot start module r.in.gdal.
C:\OsGeo4W\apps\grass\GRASS-~1.0SV//bin/r.in.gdal.exe --interface-description"

Obviously, there is something wrong with GRASS modules path, even I
pointed the installer to "C:\OSGeo4W\apps\grass\grass-6.4.0svn".
How/where can I alter the path?
Thank you for any help!

Radek

AFAIK the OSgeo4W installer for 1.0.0 does not (yet) include the grass
plugin. (As it says in red on the QGIS download page.)

Actually blame me for that.

The path is actually ok, but r.in.gdal is missing from the package.  I
still need to figure out why.   Thanks for the report.

Seems I was wrong - the package does contain r.in.gdal after all.

But you probably have libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll in your
%WINDIR%\system32 directory.  In that case copying libeay32.dll and
ssleay32.dll from %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\bin to
%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.0rc2\bin (or svn instead of rc2 for
the old package) should help.

I'm not sure how to fix that permanently yet.  %WINDIR%\system32 seems
to come first in any case.

rpasiok
Jurgen,

copying libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll to
%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.0svn\bin helped.
Thank you very much!

Radek,

I just made the instructions, acknowledgments should go
for Jürgen Fischer and the long list of QGIS developpers.
