Help: My geoserver demos does not display images and maps

Lorenzo Jimenez

Hi, Happy New Year

I'm recently installed GeoServer (1.3.0-RC7) on our server (Linux RedHat 9.3 with Tomcat 5.0.28 using j2sdk1.4.2_08).

The installation went ok, but when accesing the demos and choosing anyone, it seems that cannot find the images.

For example, http://localserver:8080/geoserver/data/generated/topp_tasmania_roads.html in the

left there is a topp:tasmania_roads there a "x" square box instead of the image, and in the center

topp:tasmania_roads below the buttons. I can move the mouse showing the lat and log number but no map appears.

At last in the bottom "Map Layers" also appear with a "x"

I hope I explain myself correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Lorenzo (Newbie)

BTW: I got this Debug log from the "OpenPlans.org Geoserver WFS/WMS Demonstration Application"

Hi Lorenzo, there was just a bug fix put in to allow you to access the
map builder demos directly. When you try the next release (today or
tommorow) it should work ok for you.

Re: Help: My geoserver demos does not display images and maps

Brent Owens
Hi Lorenzo,

The new version hasn't been released yet, but it should be out in the
next day after tests are run.
We will announce it on the list and on the web page when it is out. You
will be able to get it in the 'Latest' download section.

You can also get the most up to date changes from SVN:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/Source+Code
