Geoserver WFS-T error

Manns, Marc-2

Hi List,

i’ve got some trouble with my Geoserver(2.5.5) installation when Using WFS-T in Qgis and Mapbender etc.

I set up a data and featurestore and the display works fine in the Geoserver-Layer-Preview.

When I connect the wfs server to Qgis I can display the featureType too.

But when I try to edit and save the feature geoserver throws following error:

#######

org.picocontainer.defaults.UnsatisfiableDependenciesException: org.geoserver.wfs.xml.gml3.AbstractGeometryTypeBinding has unsatisfiable dependencies: [interface org.opengis.referencing.crs.CoordinateReferenceSystem] where org.picocontainer.defaults.DefaultPicoContainer@74297429 was the leaf container being asked for dependencies.

org.geoserver.wfs.xml.gml3.AbstractGeometryTypeBinding has unsatisfiable dependencies: [interface org.opengis.referencing.crs.CoordinateReferenceSystem] where org.picocontainer.defaults.DefaultPicoContainer@74297429 was the leaf container being asked for dependencies.

########

I’m running Geoserver 2.5.5 under SLES 11. and on my Windows Machine Qgis 2.8.1

JAVA –version says:

java version "1.6.0"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pxa6460sr13fp1-20130325_01(SR13 FP1))

IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Linux amd64-64 jvmxa6460sr13-20130114_134867 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled)

J9VM - 20130114_134867

JIT  - r9_20130108_31100

GC   - 20121212_AA)

JCL  - 20130315_01

Can anyone help??

Regards

Marc

By looking at the error, it might be that QGis is not setting the CRS on the geometries being inserted.
You should try to have a look a the WFS-T request, if QGis has no way of showing it, you
can either try to use a debugging proxy (there are several on the net, search for them)
or change the GeoServer configuration in web.xml to enable request logging:

Re: Geoserver WFS-T error

Manns, Marc-2

Hi Andrea,

thanks for your fast response.

I’ve activated the request logging as subscribed and restarted tomcat.

I closed Qgis and started from scratch (with trying to manipulate a geometry)

Once again: Displaing geodata per wft works fine an updating does not.

I worked with an older Geoserver Version=>1.71  (but on an older Linux Machine)

and everything works fine with QGIS.

Could it be some Java-missmatch on my (new) machine??

My geoserver logfile says this:

Does not look like it's the case, the request body has not been logged.
There are two parameters to change in the web.xml, maybe you changed only the first (logging
the urls) but not the second (logging the bodies)?

By looking at the error, it might be that QGis is not setting the CRS on the geometries being inserted.

You should try to have a look a the WFS-T request, if QGis has no way of showing it, you

can either try to use a debugging proxy (there are several on the net, search for them)

or change the GeoServer configuration in web.xml to enable request logging:

Ok... I guess we'll wait for someone sharing a way to reproduce the issue (we run the WFS-T OGC compliance tests
daily, for WFS 1.0 and 1.1, so it's not like WFS-T is generally broken, there is something specific in your case)
