Fwd: [OSGeo Africa] Fwd: [OSGeo-Discuss] OSGeo AGM 2020 virtual event on 10 September 2020: 13:00 UTC
Is there someone who is able to make this meeting and to represent Oceania? The slide is drafted, it just needs a face and a smile and 2 minutes of time :-)

Subject: [OSGeo-Discuss] New time for our OSGeo AGM 2020 virtual event
on 10 September 2020: 13:00 UTC
To: OSGeo Discussions <[hidden email]>
Hello OSGeo Community!
It is difficult to find the perfect time slot to organize an
international virtual event, so after some recent discussions and
requests on public channels, the board has decided to change the AGM
time slot to accommodate all regions (as much as possible).
We would like to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on
Thursday September 10th 2020 from 13 UTC till 15 UTC.
All local chapters, projects, committees and initiatives are invited
to present their status report, updates, covid-19 impact, future plans
and past achievements.
We have already created the AGM slides for this year. This is going
to be one minute of fame and shine, don't let it pass! It is important
for all of us to know what is happening everywhere.
OSGeo is huge and this is the best way to get a summary of all the
amazing work we are doing!
Please add your information to the slides until 08.09.2020. If you
want to edit it and still don't have privileges to do so, please let
us know and tell us which team you represent so we can provide write
Please make sure you use only one (or two) slides per team. You will
have about 1 minute to present.
Please spread the information about the AGM 2020 and save the date! We
will provide detailed information about the meeting platform soon.
We will reserve an hour before and after the AGM to provide meeting
rooms for projects and local chapters where you can meet.
At the end of the AGM the Sol Katz Award 2020 will be granted.
After the AGM we will have an additional hour for open discussion
about OSGeo activities and the future.
