MapWindow 5 progress update

Hello ,

I've send you this letter because in the past you've shown interests in MapWindow Open Source GIS.
If you no longer want to receive our newsletter you can unsubscribe at the bottom.

We've been working very hard on the development of MapWindow 5. You can read the full commit history at CodePlex: https://mapwindow5.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets
Sergei already implemented the basic modules like the MapWinGIS wrapper, the plug-in framework, the table editor, the identifier tool and the legend control.
We're now working on the GUIs. If you have experience with it and want to assist, please contact me at [hidden email].
As always we're looking for C# developers who want to spend some of their time on helping with the development and/or create unit tests and/or do some code reviewing.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter we've moved MapWinGIS (the ocx) to GIT making it easier for you to contribute. MapWindow 5 is also on GIT.

Some statistics
MapWinGIS v4.9.3.4 is downloaded over 2,380 times since Jan. 26th.
MapWindow Lite is downloaded over 130 time since Jan. 26th.
149 change sets for MapWindow 5 have been committed since Feb. 19th.

Screen shots
Below are some screenshots of the current status of MapWindow 5. These screen shots are a first impression. Most likely they will change before the first Beta release.
Late April we will try to create a first Alpha release. This release will be to test the ClickOnce deployement workflow, the application itself will not yet be fully functional.
