Create a github repo for scripts

Francisco Puga-2
Hi devs,

What do you think to create a repo in github for scripts under the
umbrella of the Association [1].

Right now we can just create it and begin to push scripts to it. When
we have a couple of them we can begin to think how to organise it. If
anyone knows another organisation making something like that we can
review its rules to take ideas.

I was thinking that instead of sending to the list very specific
solutions to the questions we can begin to create a library that
answers those questions with code. Each time a new question is done we
can review if a script already satisfies the question and if it is not
the case refactor existing python modules to satisfy the requirements.

I wasn't even aware of this repository, thanks :-)
Is that one officially maintained by the Association?

I find this a very good idea. Count me in.

Ciao,
Andrea

Re: Create a github repo for scripts

Hi Francisco,

I also think it is a great idea.

It could be created as a repo under the Association organization in
GitHub, but we could also create a new organization called gvSIG
Desktop, in order to make easier to find the Desktop repos (the
existing one is currently used for web projects such as gvNIX and
gvSIG Roads).

Yes it is! I'm one of the administrators, in case you need anything.

I don't think it would be a good idea to create another organization.
It's really that hard to find a repository in a organization with 6 or 7
repos?
