First Announcement of deegree day 2006

Bonn  March 14, 2006. After 5 years of continuous growth and development
the deegree project currently provides the most comprehensive
implementation of OGC/ISO standards in the Free Software world. To
support the community process the first get together of users and
developers will be held on June 8, 2006, at the University of Bonn.
deegree day is designed to be platform for interaction and circulation
of knowledge. Developers will present both current and upcoming features
complemented by the latest project solutions of the users. A chance to
discuss pressing open issues in technology, communication, and project
organization will be presented on deegree day.

A preliminary agenda with plenary sessions and parallel work shop tracks
covering one full day has been set up:
10:00 - 11:15 Opening Plenary: Welcome + 3 Presentations
11:15 - 11:30 Coffee Break
11:30 - 12:30 Plenary Session (4 Presentations)
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch Break
13:30 - 15:00 2 Workshops (parallel): deegree2 for users/developers
15:00 - 15:15 Coffee Break
15:15 - 16:00 Plenary Session (3 Presentations)
16:00 - 17:30 2 Workshops (parallel): deeJUMP/iGeoSecurity
17:30 - 18:00 Closing Session

deegree day is open to all interested institutions and individuals free
of charge. For further refinement of the event structure, proposals
(German and English language) for presentations and/or workshops are
welcome on [hidden email].
